Camping out for iPhone

If you’re reading this, you probably already know that Geoffrey talked me into camping out for iPhone with him, at the Apple Store on 5th Avenue in New York.

We arrived via car service from Brooklyn about 8:30pm. There were ten people in line already, and we formed 11 and 12 (I took 12 as it’s The Bride’s favorite jersey number from school).

The crowd is a mix of laptop-toting nerds, capitalists, and crazies. We have so far all shared the stress of surviving the torrential rain.

It poured here for at least two hours, and we’re just now getting wrung out, uploading pictures and putting content on the various blogs. Check out http://www.myitablet.com/ – this guy is #9 and came from Scottsdale, AZ to camp out here. He’s got fun videos from the line so far.

We got hit up by a cool guy from NPR to do some interviews and maybe a video or two for the NPR blog (which nobody likely reads).

As of 12a midnight, we are still looking for #13.
